Hi all,
I recently played in my first tournament. It was 1000 points, and featured a number of scenarios to capture objectives etc. I ended up coming in at 4th of 16 people, and was pretty happy with coming so close to a top 3 spot in my first tournament. I would have placed 2nd or 3rd if I didn't get tabled versing Wood Elves, my god that was nasty
But I digress! One of the people I played was recording his games to write batreps for his blog (which he gave me the link to), and he recently posted our game to it, so I figured I'd share it here for all to see
First off, the lists:
Beastmen (technically 'Glottkin', but for all intents and purposes.... Beastmen)
Slugtongue (General) (special character who, after deployment, causes every enemy within 36" to roll a D6: 1-3 = nothing, 4-5 = D3 wounds taken no saves, 6=D6 wounds no saves)
27 Gors with Mark of Slannesh, full command, and additional hand weapons
5 war hounds with vanguard
5 war hounds with vanguard
Chaos chariot of Slannesh (using a converted tuskgor chariot model)
2 Razorgors of Slannesh (using converted werewolf models)
3 chaos trolls with additional hand weapons
3 chaos trolls with additional hand weapons
(trolls being proxied by Minotaurs to keep the Beastmen theme, which I thought was cool)
Ogres
Level 2 Firebelly
Scroll
Ruby Ring
AHW
8 Bulls
FC
IF
3 Maneaters
Captain
3 AHW
Poison//Swiftstride
2 Mournfangs
HA
IF
1 Sabretusk
4 Leadbelchers
Scenario
3 Objective markers are equally spaced across the center of the board. Controlling more objectives than your opponent lends you 150 additional VPs.
The Game
I don't feel comfortable copy & pasting someone else's writing so it is linked below, including pictures etc. If you like the batrep you should take the time to read his other one, as well as the rest of the blog.
