Hey all, could I get a vampire counts/Undead player to help me out?
Last night my buddies were fighting. The situation involved dire wolves charging some longbeards. 2 Dire wolves make the charge but due to terrain constraints we put them in base contact with the bottom corner of the longbeard block.
End movement phase.
During the magic phase he gets off the Invocation of Nehek and brings 2 dire wolves back to life. I believe the spell dictates you must fill your first rank up to 5 models. So his unit of 2x1 dire wolves becomes a unit of 4x1 dire wolves. Now we have 2 dire wolves hanging behind the longbeard block.
So my question is how does this get resolved? Do the new dire wolves get to participate in combat even though there were not there when the charged occured? My guess was that they probably do. And if that's the case, since the dire wolves were constrained by terrain, it falls upon the dwarf player to shift his longbeard block down 2 ranks to bring the new dire wolves into combat. Obviously the dwarf player protested to this.
It was a weird situation so I thought I'd ask.
