Has anyone considered using an imitation Braugh Slavelord using the Lore of Undeath to build his slave forces with?
I figure that since the original Braugh wasn't a caster, that all you'd need is a Level 1 Butcher with the signature spell to create his slaves. If you wanted to you could make him a Level 2 for the extra spell.
The only issue then is making the Butcher into a bit of a fighter. I figure, if you're not using them else where, then Fencer's Blades could work at allowing him to actually hit with his few attacks, and help prevent him getting hit back. Or alternatively, give him protection with one of the magical armors and Ironfist, and a minor weapon to help with whatever he meets. I'd be inclined to go with the Armor of Fortune and Gold Sigil Sword, for a grand cost of 153points (or 188 for lvl2).
Thoughts?
An alternative is that you model the undead as gnoblars and make him the Gnoblar Horde Lord
