Been around warhammer fantasy for about 20 years now.  And just found that I really like the OK.  I've collected and played Lizards, Empire, Chaos, Beastmen, Demons, Bretonia, and Dark Elves.

I am concerned about all the rumors that OK will be nixed in the future, but my group will still probably stay true to 8th edition for a good long while before things begin to break down.

Your situation sounds a lot like mine. I also had been collecting numerous other armies before taking the Ogre plunge :)
