In-Game Strategy
With this force, I will seek to take advantage of my substantial numbers and speed in order to close the distance with my foe. The bruiser, paired with two units of bulls and gnoblars, will form a strong, adaptable center. The bruiser general will be deployed on his lonesome, but will always seek to stick with his bull and gnoblar entourage in order to make the best use of his improved leadership, as well as to aid in the avoidance of eneny shooting. The fact that he is on his own means he can reliably support any of these central units with a well timed combo-charge. By pairing his heavy attacks with the extra weight of another unit, he is sure to do to some damage to most enemy.

The flanks of my army are formed of two units of leadbelchers and two units of ironguts. These guys fill two roles. First off, the leadbelchers are there to blow away enemy support units, such as combat skirmishers, fast cavalry, lighter chariots, and spawn. The ironguts threaten the troops that the leadbelchers don't really present a threat to, troops like knights and such.

Once enemy support troops have been killed, waylaid, or otherwise neutralised, my flanking element closes on the center. Here, my four flanking units (each capable of negating rank bonuses with a flank charge) will have the ability to surround my opponent's unsupported and outmaneuvered troops. The large number of fast troops in my army also affords me another advantage. Against agressive armies, I have plenty of units that can bait and flee, and still have plenty of troops left to counter charge. The fact that every fast unit in my army comes equipped with a musician will aid in this endeavor.

4 IronGuts, standard, runemaw banner (232)
4 bulls, XHW, musician (166)
4 bulls, XHW, musician (166)
20 gnobbos (40)
9 trappers (54)

total points: 999

DD: 2 + MR (2)

I opted for a butcherless army. It is something very different from my usual build, but I have been going through a "thinking-period", lately.
I went for this build since: if I face khorne or dwarves, no single butcher can overcome all those magic resistance; if I face skaven or Tzeench or skinks or any other magic heavy army, there is no single butcher that can overcome all those dispell dice or those casting dice... so I went for 2 thifstones on the bruiser, who will join the 3 IG unit; and for the runemaw banner, that will redirect any spell on the near gnoblar unit.
The 2 units of bulls will work as screens or flanking protection, according if I'll face slow armies or fast armies.
The trappers were taken only for fluff reasons... I like to take them, and I always find a role for them, might it be marchblocking, quarter hunting, warmachine crew killing.
I also went for a different deployment: not my usual deny flank, but, unless I see my opponent doing anything "funny" I plan in having the IGs in the center, flanked by the bulls.

3rd ARMY: by Ogreama

Bruiser: Heavy Armor+Great Weapon= 142
Butcher: Skullmantle= 150

3 Bulls= 105
3 Bulls= 105
3 Bulls= 105
3 Bulls= 105

3 Ironguts= 144
3 Ironguts= 144

For the Bruiser, I usualy send him out on his own, flanking or causing distraction.

For the Butcher, he is alone as well, behind the lines augmenting ogres...I've found Braingobbler+Skullmantle= run away!!!! (go figure)

...march/charge/kill...after that, all you gotta do is "put em in a hurt locker"...~Stallone~

cheers
