Good morrow' fellow ogres

Im Zak I have been a longtime lurker here at the stronghold and I finally thought it time to go out and buy myself some actual ogres instead of just gawping at other people's so I walked into my local games workshop and braced my wallet for what was about to come. I bought a battalion and black primer 75POUNDS !?!!?? FOR 16 MODELS AND A SPRAY PAINT.

This gnoblog has been made so I can keep track of my army and give me the motivation to paint every single model. I may include blood bowl teams and probably some 40k grey knights in this gnoblog.

So without further ado!!

Hey all I have my first unit of six ogres assembled (without hands) and most mouldlines removed.

Im going to be putting a poll on for the skin colour of my ogres I'm stuck between grey, cream or a dark skin tone.  I am personally leaning towards a dark skin tone be I have no idea how to paint it :) but anyway Here's my first unit of bulls. If you would like more pics just ask.

Zak
Its a nice start, i wish you luck with your progress. If you like the idea of dark skin then i would go with that. I am sure someone on here has a recipe that can help
Samurai Ogres of Nippon

Hey Mate, even though I have just joined this website I am a seasoned ogre player with 6,000 points of hungry mass underneath my belt. I have a friend who plays dark grey skinned ogres and they look great. having a dark neutral color like dark grey or black skin allows for some great spot colors, my friend does fire patterns and flaming eyes which looks great. Just an idea. Sorry if you don't like it but I play ogres and a lot of other armies so if you have any questions just ask.

Good luck
Grizzly
Thanks grizzly I like that idea tbh I may give it a go what I want to do is have ogres with light skin and black skin I might add some grey in but probably not :) and welcome to the stronghold!! I haven't been here long myself but everyone is extremely friendly considering there flesh eating ogres :) I hope to see you visting my gnoblog often :)

Now for the update I have 3 test models painted that I should be uploading tomorrow after basing them and now I'm on the topic of basing I'm unsure of how to actually base my ogres im thinking a snow melt. So like where the snow is melting with areas of grass and snow OR cobblestone like the ogres are raiding a town I like the sound of number two but it sounds very difficult so any tips would be appreciated
