Popular leader kits?

I am new to Ogre's and am about to join a 2500 point campaign. I know crazy right. I've been painting for months now getting ready but there are just so many possible like item load outs that it's tough to find something that's good. Are there some like standard builds that are recommended for our dudes?

This question really does depend on what character you are talking about. At 2500pts i will assume you are taking a lord choice as your general.

Most people take Slaughtermasters. Your build here will depend on your lore, if you have LotGM then i like the glittering scales, fencers blade combo. Any other law Armour of destiny is popular

If you take a tyrant, there are tonnes of builds and i researched them endlessly to finally settle on a great weapon, tricksters helm and talisman of preservation

As Minigiant has alluded to their is so much info you need to consider with that question.  Firstly do you want a tyrant or a slaughter master?  If so do will the slaughter master be the only caster etc?  Do you want him up front or in the second rank casting spells from relative safety?  On the Tyrant do you want him to be an armour busting wrecking ball or a bit of an all rounder?  Lots of things to think about.  Also one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle is what does the rest of your list look like?
