Nagash vs Greedy Fist

Hello again fellow Tyrants,

I don't have the Nagash book, so maybe I'm getting worked up over nothing, but...

Does Greedy Fist work on Nagash? :?

No. Any time you end up in base contact with Nagash, he kills you before you swing.

Okay, more seriously, yes, the Greedy Fist can destroy his magic weapon on a ward save and you can strip magic levels off him with hits in close combat. Why wouldn't it work on Nagash?

As I recall one of the elf characters has a magic weapon that is immune to being destroyed though.

Was just thinking about it, but I didn't know if he had a rule against it.

I've heard of a tyrant on carpet with the greedy fist who had lots of fun in storm of magic games.

Against nagash he will die quite quickly but if you get lucky he might be a level zero wizard first.

That sounds like a brilliant idea (Tyrant, Sword of Swift Slaying, Greedy Fist, maybe Giantbreaker so you're hitting at S7, ASF) and try to knock a few levels off Nagash in combat.

The problem is nothing gets into combat with nagash unless he wants them to or they fly. But you can't have the carpet, the ASF sword and the greedy fist...

Tyrant - Carpet, Greedy fist, Dawnstar Sword. 10 attacks that hit automatically and strip 10 wizard levels...if he survives that it...

Remember your Impact hit also strips a magic level! Then you only need 4 more hits to make him 1000 points of deadweight.
