Hey all! I am pretty new to the Forum but i figured i would start my 'Gnoblog' straight away to help encourage me.
Heres just a short little background on my tribe for now: The Beastcaller tribe is extremely adept at Taming and Hunting the wild beasts of the mountains of mourn. The majority of the tribe was slain by dwarves in a trap set by the dwarves when the Tribe marched to war towards their stronghold. Cast out into the Wilderness, the Tribe is Nomadic and travels through the northern area of the mountains of mourn, inhabiting caves as they move along, hunting as they go. The Tribesmen are known for wearing numerous pelts of Cave-bears, Bull rhinox and other beasts of the mountains.
I will include a more indepth background along with some short stories after i work out all of the details.
Here is the Army list: I also included a short peice of fluff for each unit and how i plan to model them.
Ghrar Ironclaw Beastcaller - 189
Ogre Bruiser w/ Heavy armor, Siegebreaker, Luck Gnoblar, Sword-Gnoblar and Wyrdstone Necklace.
Ghrar is the Tyrant of the remains of the Beastcaller tribe. I plan to represent the sword-gnoblar with a wolf on his base (not the plastic one).
Ragak - 185
Ogre Butcher w/ Tooth Gnoblar, Halfling Cookbook and A Dispel Scroll - 185
Ragak, the last survivng butcher of the massacre at the (yet to be named) dwarven hold. I plan to use the normal Butcher model witha few alterations
Grok the Colossal - 185
Ogre Hunter w/ 2 Sabre Tusks
Grok the Colossal is the Cheif Hunter of the Tribe, Normaly in Ogre Tribes the Slaughtermaster would advise the tyrant, but instead, The wise and enormous hulk that is Grok the Colossol works as Ghrar's personal advisor. I plan to use the Normal hunter but replace the Mace with either and axe or a skull and more fur and possible change the head too.
Ogre Bulls - 115
3 Ogre Bulls w/ Ogre Clubs. Musician.
THe remains of the different families form up and fight when the Tribe is called to war. The Stormmaws, one of the last 3 remaining families is led by Grik the Cold. I'll use normal bulls with plasticard armor plates, altered gut plates and greenstuff fur pelts, also claw, fang and horn emblems and talismans along with converted and scratch weapons.
Ogre Bulls - 127
3 Ogre Bulls w/ Ogre Clubs and Additional Hand Weapons. Musician.
The remnants of the Frostfang family are led by Hrok the Mean.
Iron Guts - 270
5 Ironguts w/ Great Weapons, Heavy Armor. Musican and Standard Bearer.
The last of the The Beastcaller Family, Ghrars own family, form as a bodyguard around the tyrant during times of war. His brother Grak carries the Banner of the Beastcaller tribe; a collection of fangs, teeth, claws, horns, fur pelts and heads of the many beasts that stalk the grim mountains (along witha few human and dwarven heads). I'll use normal Ironguts with plasticard armor plates, altered gut plates and greenstuff fur pelts, also claw, fang and horn emblems and talismans along with converted and scratch weapons.
Iron Guts - 318
6 Ironguts w/ Great Weapons, Heavy Armor. Musican and Standard Bearer.
The rest of the Massacred familes have reformed into a single unit during battle, they carry the stolen banner of (the unamed) dwarven hold where there family where slain.
Gnoblar Fighters - 46
23 Gnoblars w/ Hand Weapons and Sharp Stuff
These will eaither be normal gnoblars, convereted from BFSP Night Gobbos or as Warbeasts of some sort.
Leadbelchers - 175
3 Leadbelchers w/ Light Armor and Leadbelcher Cannons. Musician.
No fluff yet. Ill use normal Belchers with fur, armor plates, face guards and fang talismans.
Gorger - 75
Gorger
Known as 'The Beast' or 'The Thing' among the tribesmen, Ghrar found it deep within a cave and out of a strange and commonly unseen kind gesture nursed the beast back to life, it now hunts and follows with the tribe. It will some sort of beast, maybe a bear or wolf or something.
Total: 1500
Any suggestions on fluff (IE. the Name of the dwarven hold or ideas for the leadbelchers) modeling (What to do for the gnoblars and cheap ways to get/make wolf pelts) or the army list would be greatly apreciated.
And i plan to have picures of bulls/leadblechers in tomorrow the the next day.
Feedback welcome and apreciated!
Thanks in advance.
