Hello all i am new to the forum (although I have lurked for a while.) My warhammer experience is rather short when I was a kid my dad painted the models but i never did or play. a friend of mine bought lizardmen and wanted someine to play with and knowing that i played DnD he asked me and i decided yes(much to my wifes contest) I looked for several days(didn't have even the brb yet) and i decided on empire even though the ogre models were cooler. ... I was immediately. disappointed with my choice as i hated most of the models and didn't like the fluff. my friend and i played about 20 games and i went nearly undefeated... finally i decided to stop forcing the empire and i bought some ogres. My empire army still sets on my shelf vastly unpainted. I started painting my ogres and they have become my main army. i immediately became engrossed with the fluff and began writing my own story for my own tyrant. and the best part... two games with ogres and i am currently undefeated (also a side not. my ffriend and i started the warhammer fantasy group around here. its a town of about 100 people and we have four solid players and two dabblers ) sorry for the large rant. just excited to be at the stronghold.
