End Times wishlist

Seen as it looks like a merging of the individual army books is the way End Times & probably 9th is going, Ive been wodering what books do you think will OK's be merged with?
Also seen as other armies are getting new characters/units (Nagash,Morghats, Blightkings) what new stuff if any will the big guys get?

I could see a merging of Ogres and O+G working fluff wise and would give us a world of options, as for new unit I would like a hard as nails character and Rhinox Riders official.

Maybe a return of the Dogs of War, a large group of Mercenaries consisting of the units that don't fit everywhere else?


I would like to have a special character worth running in a 'normal' list. I would also like a proper BSB model cause my modelling skills suck

Mount options for tyrants would be nice. Sticking a tyrant on a Mournfang (or for real nastiness a Grimhorn Rhinox) would add a few more options on how to play and frankly the prospect of a mounted tyrant charging with a unit of MFC is too good to miss out on.

At least I'd bring a mounted tyrant for every game.

That would be a fun merger but I'd only be frustrated that I sold all of my greenskins years ago.

There's mention of a large group of ogres going to join up with Chaos, so maybe a chaos ogre kit/ upgrade kit.

Also, I reckon that OK, will either settle in the world's edge mountains, or could possibly capture part of Tilea/ Estalia/ Border Princes / part of the Empire and create a new Realm out of a desolated province. Heck, I could see Golgfag becoming the new Overtyrant, getting part of a desolated province and getting a Runefang.

Golgfag moved out of the Mountains of Mourn with a large group of ogres before the main issues, so his group would be more well prepared and equipped then the rest of the Ores, who suddenly flee. This would give him more power then Greasus and he could easily take the title of overtyrant.

The Empire will need able bodies to hold off enemies after the end times, as all races will still exist so giving Golgfag part of Wissenland to hold Black Fire Pass seems a sensible move. There are spare Runefangs so he could easily get one without annoying too many people.

Maybe an Empire upgrade kit to show the unification of the two races.

The revival of the Sky Titans. Maybe having some of them that didn't get killed off from the Ogre "migration" come out of slumber and are forced into combat for the tribes (or maybe even taking control of some tribes, themselves). They'd make for an interesting special character (maybe the "Last of the Sky Titans" lord) that'd be a large BA to compare to Nagash or the Glottkin in both size and stats.

Also, I'd like to have a reason to want to field 50% lords... ours are just too expensive compared to other armies. I don't think I'll be changing my list-styles anytime soon to accommodate the "FAQ'd" rules.

Oh, we have a reason to indulge in 50% lords and heroes, we just don't need the FULL 50%.  Double kitted Slaughtermasters, for instance.  Works out to 700ish points, but 4 levels of Maw and Beast can make up for it.  Full kit BSB, level 2 of choice, and Hunter; pushes the boundaries of 25%, but can be really nice and change things up.

That would a great excuse for an Uber large new kit like the ones we are seeing!  I personally just love the name Sky Titan.  Just sounds awesome.

I hope its not to late but i have been thinking about this quiet a bit these last few days

I would love to see Greasus Goldtooth on a War mammoth. He could easily afford one and being carried around by Mammoth instead of Gnoblars has to be better

Well, ogres could be in several options.

We have left:

Bretonnians (maybe? unless they're being killed off)
Empire
Dwarfs
Skaven
Lizardmen
Ogres
O&G

I guess you can lump them generally into "good guys and baddies"

O&G + Skaven
Empire + Dwarfs + Lizards (+ Brets)

Lizards are a tricky one it seems weird to lump them in with Empire and Dwarfs ... but assuming all armies end up in some kind of combined list, they're not going to be hanging out with skaven and orcs so in with the Empire they go.

Ogres could go in either pile. But with the lack of baddies, I'd probably lump them in with O&G and Skaven. That said, the Elf book had more than one End Times list. We could conceivably see a Empire Dwarf Ogre list and a Skaven Orc Ogre list as well.

I really hope we get some kind of new kit. But we might well not. A giant war mammoth with an ogre on top would be cool. Or a mounted hero on a mournfang. But likely if we get anything (I'm doubtful) it would be some big special character kit.

It is an interesting concept to see what will become of the Ogres with the End Times, they certainly can't bugger it up anymore than what they have with the Elves.

Giants with true crafting ability!  And Armour!  And shooting REAL cannons!  (Ironblasters) Oh if only.  I'am totally dreaming here but it would be so cool if it did happen!
