Hello to all!  I am a new Ogre player and have found many topics through this website/forum to be very useful.  While I am new to playing Ogres, I have a ton of experience playing against them.  My regular opponent for nearly a year played Ogres.

With all of that said, here's a bit of my 9 year experience with Warhammer:

2005-2008 I only played Empire.  I started with an Empire gunline and finished with an all cav double s'tank list.
2008-2013 I played Bretonnia, Vampire Counts, Skaven, and started my journey to Dark Elves
2013 (dark elf release) - present I played mainly Dark Elves (I have roughly 4k points in Dark Elves) and I played a little bit of Dwarves (I have a 2.8k painted army)

At the present time, I am wanting a new army and I really like what the Ogres can bring.  I am mainly attracted to the big monsters and hunter model.   At any rate, I welcome any and all advice as I begin my journey with The Great Maw!

Welcome aboard!

Stonehorns are awesome monsters, recently there's been a few battle reports featuring three of them.

The battalion box is usually a good place to get started, with a bit of kitbashing/conversion work you can get everything you need for core and characters out of two battalions.

It is definitely a plus when you can purchase two BN boxes and pretty much have your army complete.
