New Player Question - Fleeing through combat

Hey guys, me and my friends just started playing. Here is my situation:

My Sabertusk hits his Dwarf Quarreler flank and combat ensues. His dwarfs lose the combat and break, causing them to flee. They flee directly into a second combat between my Ogres and a second group of Quarrelers.

So we seem to agree that his second group of Quarrelers shouldn't need to take a panic test since they are in combat (correct?). I was wondering if the fleeing Quarrelers still needed to make a dangerous terrain test (from my Ogres). Or are they assumed to have flowed around the second combat entirely and pop out 1" away from it?

Units in CC don't take panic tests so that is correct.

I don't believe there is any "flowing around" in warhammer. If a unit flees though enemies they will need a DT test, regardless of if they are in combat or not.

Couple of important notes here you might have missed (or maybe you know this and I'm just being a blowhard)

1) Dangerous terrain tests are only for models, (see the diagram on page 25). If your enemies dwarfs ran through their own guys the would not take dangerous terrain test.

2) If your sabertusk rolled to pursue and beat his dice roll it doesn't matter  - the unit is immediately caught and destroyed (even if there's something that will cause the sabertusk to stomp pursuing after 2'')

Just want to say awesome work on breaking a unit of quarrellers with a sabretusk.  Bet they were ashamed.

At the time it was the first game for either of us so we didnt notice. In retrospect, yes it was quite glorious.

We had a rematch at 800 points later and he completely squashed me though 
I started a post in the army list forum looking for help on how to get my revenge. Any input would be much appreciated!
