I've decided to start a Gnoblog. I have a hobby blog, which I shoud update more, but I think it will help me to keep a journal here of my progress that's maybe a little more fine grained.
I've been working on this army for nearly a year, but have been distracted by playing another game, Hell Dorado. There was a Vanguard's clash tournament at my club 750 point games, using the Vanguard Clash special rules. My older Night Goblin Army made a lot more sense for Vanguard Clash than Ogres, so I played them. But getting back into WHFB prompted me to get going on my Ogres again. We have a yearly Winter Campaign at my club, and this will be the year of the Ogres for me.
I have only played one battle with my Ogres so far, about 6 months ago. The army was still in rough shape (some of the models had no arms) and mad I made a LOT of mistakes. I almost don't count it, but it was a learning experiences.
I have my first battle with my properly constructed army this Thursday. It will be against the Norse (one of the Armies of Legend fan armies) and will be 1750 points. Here's what I'm bringing.
Slaughtermaster with tricksters helm and a talisman of preservation. Level 4 Lore of Beasts.
BSB with great weapon, armor of silvered steel and a luckstone
Butcher with Dispel scroll, lvl 2 lore of the great maw
6 Ironguts with the Standard of discipline, My three characters will deploy with this unit.
6 Ogres, full command and iron fists (my counter strike unit)
11 Gnoblars who are trappers. They clear chaff and hope to get charged y a large unit so they can use their traps.
4 leadbelchers, to shoot his berserkers.
3 Sabertusks, great multi-taskers.
Iron blaster. Ka-boomie.
I have to finish the Iron blaster and make a base for the Slaughtermaster by Thursday. I'm going to proxy night goblins for Gnoblars, I need to get a box of proper gnoblars.

Also thankfully their most nasty spell (Dreaded 13th) won't work on us, due to being monstrous infantry.
