Hello to my fellow stronghold tyrants!

Starting a gnoblog has been on my to-do list for quite some time, but I've never quite gotten around to it. Of late I've been spending more time on other projects than my ogres, but I always seem to come back to them after a few months.

Ogres were my first warhammer army, back in 2006 when 7th edition was fresh off the presses and the tenderizer reigned supreme. I've had forays into the high elf, skaven, and warriors armies, but the ogres have always been my favorite. This year I've been trying to get my skaven army up and running, I've got a few events this winter I'd like to take them to and those little rat bastards don't paint themselves! So I'll probably be posting some pics of my rats as I get the units finished, interspersed with pics of my ogres. I have quite a few of the fatties painted up already but I'll try to get some decent shots of the units and get them posted over the next few months. I have no idea how often I'll actually be posting updates, or how much ogre  content it will have, but I'll try to be at least semi regular and semi ogre-centric about it.

To start things off, here's the butcher I just recently finished. I'll be going to a 3000 point event mid october and needed another butcher, so I started kitbashing and this guy appeared. I'll be using him anytime I need a lore of death wizard.

Some fantastic GS work there. I know it's been said already but this is very promising for the rest of the army. I can't wait to see what you come up with next and see them with a lick of paint. I'm currently reading the Gotrek and Felix series too so the Skaven updated will be interesting indeed for me as I knew very little about them until recently!

And these guys are also finished as of last night. I have four days to finish 40 stormvermin for the months painting pledge, methinks I'll be failing this month. :D

Time for a huge picture update. I was at Screw City GT this past weekend, a 3000 point event of awesomeness. Afterwards I was inspired to take pics of my army, here they are.

Love it. Araby feel to it. The lizzy head for helm is awesome. Overall a great theme throughout.
Here's the completion of my paint pledge for october, 40 stormvermin.
