Nehekhara themed Ogres

Hi all,
first time posting here, so thought i would share one of my current projects...

I have a really big TK's army as well as Ogres (probably about 6k+ of each). I have always deliberated about which tribe to do and never wanted to do one that is in the books so eventually came to the conclusion Ogres with a Nehekhara theme would look good and be easy since I have the bitz
Anyway here is the start of one of my ironfist units
hope you like them





Still gotta do more work obviously but I like the general look so far

That looks great! I've had this half-baked idea to add Ushtabi Bows to Maneaters, to count as a brace of pistols, then give them sniper and poison.

@ Lord Rex, ive been think of how to do a brace too, I might have to steal that idea if that's cool?
@ Zolas, Cheers, it was some green stuff with the vulture head off the base of the tomb guard sword.

I'll try to get my thundertusk up tomorrow, it's about the same % complete but you'll get the idea

Great theme. I love the tomb kings fluff (but just hate skeleton models!) so am looking forward to seeing your progress.

The eye on the shoulder; is that freehand? If it is it's stunning!!

@ Belchfist, cheers, yes the eye is freehand, the pic makes it look a bit strange due to the light but it is still okay

The frost breath attack comes from the Maw Icon, the fluff explanation is that the Maw opens a portal to the underworld and spits out globs of deathly cold

Where are the dinosaur (?) skeletons from? Those look really groovy, and the end result is just great

The Stonehorn was a triceratops and the thundertusk was a mammoth.
I got them from Toys r Us they were in these eggs

The company is called Geoworld, I dont know if toys r us still has them though
they were only about $15-20 per skeleton, but the egg is good for terrain to

Ive still got a bit to do on them, I want to sculpt some armour on the chest areas too

Wow, honestly this stuff looks amazing. What's most striking is the imagination and thought that has been put in to each conversion to keep with the theme. It makes it all seem so obvious which the best ideas always do.
