4x3 formation loophole

Is it possible to have a 4x3 formation with an in complete back row,  4,4,3 if that makes sense

And wud that formation still work for rank bonus and impact hit strength buffs since our ranks r only three wide?

Yes as for monstrous infranty ranks must be 3 or more for the rank to count.  Should you go to 2 or less it will not count.  (Normal infrantry must be 5 long for a rank to count). 

Remember the rank will count toward ogre charge impact hits as well for strength calculations as well, as the rule now states whole ranks give +1 strength beyond the first.
