I had been using the O&G giants model on a 50x50 as my Slavegiant, but now that I am back to playing my Ogres there is the new plastic Giant on a 50 x100 base
Should I rebase or is the 50x50 acceptable?

A Giant is actually on a 50x75 base - tack a calvary base to the back of the 50x50 one and you're golden for 'proper' sizes.
As for whether you should or not, officially, you're supposed to base the model on what it comes on and that's all that matters, so you don't have to. You probably should if you're going to any largescale open enivornments so there's no arguing about it - if you primarily play with friends its less of an issue.
