Battle of the Tyrants - Ogre Stronghold 10th Anniversary Arena of Death!

Wow those 4 sixes were sick   

The less tyrants there were in the Arena the more deadly strokes there were...

Well done Minigiant, congrats!

And thanks to Randroid for organizing this, it truly was a Battle of legends.

The roar rang out the arena loud
as cheer and shout did the crowd
for one stood triumphant of his creed
and that was Tojiro the Half Breed

As Trojiro surveyed the mournful dead
their passing circled in his head
The first to drop without a prayer
was Oni, no longer a Giantslayer

But very quick to follow him
was the demise of Urgok Gemgrim.
And third to die from another slasher
was the former Tyrant Thrawg Bonesmasher

The next turned to dust and then was gone
why twas the Tyrant Tuk'Nom
and as more blood spilt upon the floor
Farad'n Chillbringer was no more

Next to die a violent death
Brorl the Hungry this earth left
And then the next Tyrant to go
was the now pallid form of Lord Black Mojo

The crowd did cheer, scream and yell
as Khorag Giantlord Guteater fell
Another Tyrant lost his head
Wolfgut Battle Brawler was dead

The next to have his eyes closed shut
was Tyrant Angus McThundergut
The crowd did roar for another one
and soon "Whitebeard" Salteater was gone

"Still more blood", the arena's cries
as Throg Orcogre closed his eyes
Harry 'the Negotiator' grunts no more
with his guts all spilt upon the floor

The Next to say farewell to luck
was the Fistbreaker Tyrant known as Zeruk.
The crowd screamed "cummon' twist the knife"
and Bromsley the Largest was bereft of life

And onwards through this Tyrant cull
the next one dead: Rahg Goldskull.
The audience bayed for a severed head
and Durg Mawfinder soon was dead

Now just three Tyrants left to see
who could the ultimate winner be?
well with belly cut and guts all drawn
it was not Drom the Giantborn

The last two Tyrants in the arena stood
but still the crowd they bayed for blood.
Blow after blow each tyrant did issue
as club broke bone and severed tissue.

But as the beatings carried on
a winner emerged, the triumphant one
Hung Sing Gutpuncher's death was glorious
But Tojiro Half Breed was victorious

Tojiro scanned the limbs and blood
and thought unto himself, that's good.
The severed arms and chunks of meat
lay strew around at Trojiro's feet.

And as Trojiro surveyed this mournful bunch
his only thought was "Time for Lunch!"

I would just like to extend a massive thank you from all the Stronghold Guard to everyone who entered, commented on and enjoyed our 10th Anniversary Arena of Death battle. It would not have been possible without all of your input so thank you guys!

Lastly I am sure that everyone will join me in thanking Randroid for all the time and effort he has put into making this event so enjoyable. If there was a "Spirit of the Stronghold" award it truly would be yours! You are a legend buddy!

Welp, thems the dice.

Never thought he'd make it this far, but it seems Gutpuncher had not yet truly mastered his Gut-fu, and for that he paid the price...

*Far away*

The sky had darkened not too long ago, and over the silvered moonlit terrain a solitary vulture flew, clutching a dripping parcel.

Soaring to its perch, a vulture held the small, wet cloth sack in its filth-ridder claws. With a swift knock to it's head, a particularly obese butcher managed to stun the bird long enough to retrieve the parcel before the buzzard flew off, back to wherever it came from. Reading the crude stone tag attached, the ogre known as Big Butcher Chow waddled to the central fireplace, where a gathering of a dozen or more eccentric-looking ogres sat cross-legged. Some ate, some talked, some even meditated as the freezing mountain air bit at their thick hides.

"Message for...Hung..." Chow's beady eyes were finding it difficult to read the tiny tag. An ogre, wearing a thick cowl opened his eyes slowly, recognizing the name.

Tossing it with surprisingly speed and strength, a hooded figure caught the bag without so much as a flinch. Carefully unwrapping the contents, loud gasps were heard as a single bloody ogre fist rolled onto the melting snow.

It was quite a sight as some joined the bellowing cries of "Master!" as they mourned the passing of their mentor. Who would have thought that even an ogre could shed a tear.

There were calls from all around the fire "We must take revenge!" "Our enemies will make our after-battle broth!" "Cut off their hands and feet and leave them to the Gorgers!"

"Silence!" The hooded figure yelled, extinguishing the fire with the sheer power of his voice. He began after a long pause.

"Whoever killed our master must be stronger than all of us. We must remain strong as a tribe. Iron Wing Sho-Khan will become Master." Before the protests of his tribe began, the hooded figure raised a hand to quash them.

"I will venture to find who did this, study them and find their weakness. Once our Master is avenged the circle shall be complete, and all will know the name of the Gut-Puncher clan, Masters of Gut-Fu!"

A roar of approval followed. As the sound died down, Chow questioned "It is far away, it will take some time to get there."

"Yes Chow, just under one year..."

Gathering his belongings, without any ceremony or farewells, the mysterious other Hung of the Gutpuncher Clan gathered his belongings and left. Maybe never to be seen again...

Trudging along with great vigour and purpose, his cowl catching the wind dramatically, the ogre spoke between gritted teeth.

"It begins...THE REVENGE OF THE DISCIPLE..."

Hahah!! Love it!

I returned from my very long holiday followed by a very long flight home from Canada to find this waiting for me

I look forward to setting to work on it and converting the rider to fit my Nippon them

It's actually Scibor - Ogre Rhino something. Looks nice - especially the Ogre himself...

Scibor ogre on war rhino. It's not all about GW, there are some really nice ogre models out there by some great companies who are not "cornering the market".
