Limited ogre bruiser model and rhinox rider

I'm sure everyone here knows about the limited metal ogre bruiser decked out with guns from back in the day. I wanted to know if he is really truly "limited" or if that's just a buzz word eBay sellers use. Is there any possibility of him being rereleased in finecast or did they break the mold?

And where is this rhinos rider from? Is it a custom sculpted piece? I can't find it anywhere except the stronghold gallery.

the limited edition bruiser came in the original Army Box (back when the used to do army boxes).

it came with bulls, guts, gnoblars, trappers, yhettes, a hunter and the aforementioned bruiser.  it was i think a $200 US box.


i'm pretty sure that RR is scratch built.

Firstly the Rhinox rider (and rhinox) are scratch built and not an official release of any kind. If you want one of them, you will need to contact the guy who made it and start begging!

The bruiser model is indeed limited in the sense that it is not on general release in any quantity. As already stated it came in the army box as a "special" model on the release of the new ogre army box.

People on ebay would be justified in charging £25+ for an original of this model.

Far be it from me to suggest that certain copyright laws can be ignored in certain countries, but if you take a look on Ali Express you may be able to find someone who is selling this bruiser for much less than the common asking price and surprisingly it may well be made of resin.

The rhinox riders are sold by Forgeworld, they are quite expensive, and given that they are only allowed if your opponent agrees to it, that limits the use to friendly games and the rare tournament that allows Forgeworld rules.

Also, over the course of a year I have found 2 of those bruisers for sale slightly cheaper at swap meets and flea markets.  But, it's a great model that GW no longer sells, and works especially to play as a Maneater with a brave of pistols instead of tyrant/bruiser so not a lot of people want to sell it cheap if at all

Too bad about the Rhinox rider. I would have liked one of those. I went ahead and picked a bruiser up online. I got it for $52 shipped. A pretty good price since they normally go for over $60 and even up to $85. I feel like the deal was especially good since it is unused. No primer to clean away.
