Firebelly issues.

I'm having an issue assembling my firebelly. Basically, the firebreath arm/head bit doesn't quite fit. If the arm is "attached" the head doesn't quite reach, and if the heads in place the firebreath bit isn't quite lining up to attach to the arm.

Is this a faulty model or am I doing something wrong here? It doesn't seem like something I could fix with green stuff.

I actually had the same issue here.  It's just finecast problems to be honest. It is easily sorted though.

You need to heat the resin slightly.  I used a hair dryer.  (Yes I'am being serious).  On a warm setting hold it close to the part you wish to reshape 10 seconds should do then slot it into place and hold for a while.  As the resin cools it will hold the new shape you have set it into.  If it doesn't work first time just try again.

Sadly there may be some small gaps in the joined after but they are easily sorted with liquid green stuff or plastic putty.

Another way to do it...

Microwave a cup of water, dip the pieces that don't fit for about 20 seconds.  Should be fairly malleable at that point.  When you have it the way you want it, dip the modified pieces in ice water to harden it back up.

I just ran mine under the hottest water that would come out of my tap for 20-30 sec (the base of the flame spout), bent it in the direction I wanted, checked the fit, and repeated making small adjustments until it lined up enough that I could glue it.

Hey guys - the above technique worked a treat, with very minimal liquid green stuff to block a couple of tiny gaps. Was really just plunge in hot water, gently push/bend it into shape then use cold water to set. Took a few tries, but painting it as we speak!
