Standard

Special

3 Leadbelchers - 129

Sabertusk pack - 21

Sabertusk pack - 21

Rare

Ironblaster 170

Total = 1500 p

The items for the hero and the lord is not set. I would like some of your professional opinion of what to choose for the hero and the lord. And maby some overall hints & tips and your saying about the rest of the army list. I haven't played warhammer in quite a while, mabby 2-3 years. So anything helps really. I've got no mourfang models and is going to skip that, I dont like to proxy.

The ironblaster is just there to take out monsters, knights with loads of save, maby warmachines and so on. Now the build on the Lord, I was thinking hellheart and maby glittering scales? Or glittering scales and fencers blade. On the BSB I've just thaught about making him tanky.

Thanks for the awnsers.

Hi Silje

What magic items are you putting on your characters?
Minds are like parachutes. They work best when open.
For the Bruiser, talisman of pres and enchanted shield make the perfect tank. Don't forget the heavy armour! For the SM a good combo is Glit scales, F's blades and the Greedyfist or CoC.
Nice combos

Love this.  Are there any professional warhammer players here??  :D

List looks pretty stock for 1500, just ensure the SM goes into the guts for better leadership.
"Nec sorte nec fato"

Ogre Battles!

Tactica: Sabretusks
Tactica: Gnoblars
Big Jim, none at the moment. That was the reason I was posting this :)

MAVV, really nice combos! I will probably equip my BSB with what you recommended! I wont forget the HA, think I'm gonna remove one ogre or sabertusk for the lord and heros basic equipment.
Though, I was thinking, do I really need the CoC (crown of command I guess??) for the slaughtermaster? Since I got a BSB wich gives me re-roll, and a LD 8, wich is not really good, but average I guess. And, if I place the Slaughtermaster in the unit of 12 ogres, I will still have, probably 3 ranks when I get into close combat, at least 2 ranks (check out my master piece of the deployment from Windows Paint). AND, there is a chance that I get a spell, probable the Great Maw, that I will swap down to the signature spell, wich gives me Stubborn. Do you still think it's worth it? Please argue for your opinion so that I'll learn how to think strategically like and ogre player should!

Jimmy,  why should I place him there? Both the Bruiser and Slaughtermaster have the LD 8. And my plan is not to be further away with these units from eachother then 12". Both units need the re-roll from the BSB, and the Ironguts unit with the BSB in it, might need insiring precense if anything happens with their LD or something alike.

You should find room for the Standard of Discipline on the gut unit your general goes in. Leadership is our biggest downfall, mitigating that with re-rollable Ld9, usually stubborn, keeps things put. If you go with the maw lore, trading a spell for the sig is a good way to go, and frees up room from the CoC. Trade The Maw for it every time (I hate that spell) or any buffs that you don't need for your opponents army. I usually run Beasts so I don't get that, thus my penchant for the crown :)

Ogres seem to always flub on the combat turns I need them to win, do when that inevitably happens having your main unit stubborn can keep you from losing the game.
I'll try, wont promise anything! A second thought tough, if he bears this Standard of Discipline, does he have to be the army General because of "his" higher LD then the Slaughtermaster?

I think I will let the crown of command go acctually :/ It is very risky to depend on magic and the stubborn we may get from it....but oh well...

About the Greedy Fist, what happens if the bearer dies from some of the wounds from a magical weapon but dies from some of the other attacks of the same weapon, that turn, from the same bearer?

Standard of D goes with the unit, not on your BSB (need those points for equipment), so the SM can maintain his general status. Put him in that irongut unit, and his inspiring presence becomes Ld9 as per the BRB faq. Standard ogre sneaky tactics ;)

Let me see if I'm understanding this question exactly. The SM takes say, six wounds from some character (vampire lord for example), and only saves one with his 6++. He still dies, but now the shiny magical weapon becomes a normal weapon of its type for the rest of the game. Because all of the attacks and subsequent wounds happen at the same time, the SM only survives by making the ward saves necessary to keep his wounds at that initiative step.
