6 month break up what have i missed?

Hey guys, have finished a 6 month no gaming break. what have I missed in any changes to the meta?

Tomb Kings are still considered top tier and overpowered. 

Seriously though, Wood Elves have just been released and in my opinion are pretty balanced and Dwarfs were released in your 6 month window alongside Dark Elves which can certainly create some nightmares match-up dependent.

Depends where you play Re: meta. I've noticed Cav armies are back in large numbers.
Can make tricky combo's. nothing a gutstar cant fix.

The dark elf fast cav deathstar can give a gut star a run for it's money.

So the meta went full bore towards fast, hard hitting armies often backed up with solid shooting. Then we got a double dose of gunline with the last two books, but it doesn't seem to have shifted the meta away from cav/chariot heavy armies, at least not yet.

I am going out on maybe thin ice here but I will claim that the new books have created a much better balance for the books and the overall game.
Although this might just be due to the books have come out so fast that no powerlist can be made and prevail before new stuff comes out and changes things - I still hope and believe that the books are just balanced better now or at least tuned up/down on the areas where the old books had flaws (Dwarfs can now maneuver but are still M3 for instance and has a tiny bit 'magic', still good war machines but not overpowered)
BUT each army of course still has good and bad match ups.

Just get back into the gaming and enjoy the ride : )
