Here comes the Cavalry

So I am a pretty new fantasy player and play mostly for fun, but I have been on the fence about a few armies but always come back to wanting to play ogres. That being said I have come up with a few lists for the respective armies I like. Anyways that's a tiny ramble. This army is kinda of themed around mounts, along with a lot of my favorite looking models while still trying to make a some what decent list so with out further a due here it is!!

OGRES 2400

Slaughter master. Level 4 maw. Great weapon, armour of destiny, scroll , crown of command. 395

Battle standard bearer. Great weapon, Heavy armour. Charmed shield, talisman of preservation. 195

I left your characters the way you had them, items for characters are mostly about personal preferences. But for the rest of the list I switched one unit of guts for ogres, this to free some points for 2 banners and 2 sabretusks. This will be a fast hard hitting army.

I think the charmed shield is wasted as the BSB has a great weapon.

Okay so it seems like not too much to tweak with the list aside from maybe trying to squeeze in some of the sabertusks. So maybe I mainly need help with my hero/lord department with this list. I'm still very news I is don't have a preferred exactly but I do like the set up this person was using in there 2400 list....

I like what this guy is doing here because it seems rather simple and cheap. Although I do not quit get why you would give a fire belly the ruby ring of ruin?

Ruby ring is easy to cast on 1 die.  Also, the Lore Attribute works well with Ring.
