Im looking to make a 1500pts list but Im not sure weather I should go cheep heroes of butchers firebellys or have a slaughter master. I know I would like a BSB. If I took a slaughter master should I go level 4 of level 3 to conserve points? Could anyone post up some general lists as a guide at all please.

Level 4 SM with 4++ and Crown (or whatever you like), Bruiser BSB 4++, and a Level 2 FB for backup with a scroll fits perfect off the top of my head. That's what I would run at that points value. The SM can't be fully kitted out, but he can fill out most of his points, or go light if you need them for other goodies.

One of my lists for 1500 pts.
Firebelly lvl 2, ruby ring of ruin, dispelscroll - 205
Bruiser BSB, HA, IF, Talisman of endurance - 168
7x IG Full command, standard of disc - 351
10x Gnoblar, trapper upgrade - 50
4x Maneater, Full command, 3x xhw, 1x GW (on champ), Gleaming pennant, scout, swiftstride - 268
3x MFC Bellower, standard of swiftness, HA, IF - 245
1x Sabretusk - 21
1x Sabretusk - 21
1x Ironblaster - 170
Total - 1499
You can always drop the Ironblaster to free up some points for some more goodies, even change the firebelly into a SM. I just really like the model and the threat he brings. Sometimes there are no ideal targets and he just comes up shooting on the flank and being a chariot. But when one of the big nasties does appear, I am glad I have this one in my corner.

There isn't alot of room at the table edges to scout some big ogres, so mostly just one rank of 4. Because if I go 3 or 2x2 I might struggle for space and waste the xhw on some.
I take the FB over the SM because shock and awe is more my style, especially with these lower points lvls I like to get in to the face of the enemy fast. So I give some more points towards my units instead of my caster.
But may try the SM for a few, just to see if I am not making a mistake. (I just really love my FB)
