Model search

original thread ↗

Hi

I was hoping that someone here could help me find a model. In Issue 5 of Warhammer Visions (June) on page 113 there is a picture of "Nurgle Carnival" by Christoph Blumenthal.

in the large picture on pages 112 + 113 on the right hand side (that would be pg 113) there is a model that looks like a psycho clown in a purple and white jump-suit. I am fairly sure I have seen this model before (though maybe not as converted as this).

Does anyone know what this model is? The face of it looks familiar and it has given me an idea for a conversion if I can source it.

Any ideas?

can u pop a pictture of it on, by your description it sounds like the nurgle/chaos warband from mordheim.

heres a link to my more random models and paint projects, my ogre army can be found by following the other gnoblog link.
Um...no, I can't find a picture of it anywhere on the web  :(

G_H
From the description, was just wondering if it's a converted eldar harlequin troupe master. Psycho clown...

Matt
After more time than should have been wasted on this, I have finally found a picture of this "Papa Noiguls Carnival" diorama.

Sadly the model I am on about is not pictures very well, I am referring to the fat clown dude behind the nurgling who is stood on a ball. It can be seen (just) in two pictures here;

So, any ideas?

It looks like an extensively converted Nurgle carnival mini, with it being so vague it's hard to tell properly. sorry!

Hi G_H

I emailed the guy that made it and he kindly responded and said I could paste it into the forum:

Hey G H

I used a plague bearer with additional ruff, jump-suit and hat. This: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Plaguebearers-of-Nurgle

By the way I did not use any of the old metal Mortheim miniatures, only new plastic boxes. Better Pictures here (3 long photos): http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/Paintslayer

Regards Christoph

Hope that helps!

Matt
Wow Matt, you really put some work into find this! That is totally above and beyond what I was expecting! If I had been left to do nothing but look for this model for a month, I wouldn't have thought that it was just a plaguebearer that was converted.

God knows why; its a nurgle board covered with Nurgle style characters. But somehow I couldn't see the clown as a Plaguebearer. I had half started to convince myself it was a Wyrd mini from Malifaux.

Anyway, for services to model searching I am awarding you the "he seeks him here, he seeks him there..." model seeking Gnoblar. Look after him and keep him on a tight leash (he has a tendency to wander!)

Thank you
G_H
No problem, glad I could do something to help. I noticed his email and just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I would never have guessed that it was a plaguebearer either, even from the improved pics. Although last time I owned plaguebearers the plastic ones didn't exist.

Thank you! :) My other one now has some company. Providing of course that HSHH sticks around.

Matt
I had half started to convince myself it was a Wyrd mini from Malifaux.

Alas definitely not. Wyrd currently don't make anything in the way of Psychotic Clowns, especially within the Malifaux range, the comunity has asked for it a lot but nothing in the pipe line. I tend to play Malifaux almost exclusively these days.... Taban Minatures on the other hand do a fine range of messed up clowns if your interested.

Those are really cool! Not to go slightly off tangent but evil midget clowns!

Also really like the reaper ones:

Can't go wrong with a large mallet and custard pie.

Matt
Wow some scary mini's in those last 2 sights.  :D
