Whats up Folks!

Just another new guy here, getting ready to dive into the world of the Ogre Kingdoms. 

I've been playing a Necron army in 40k for a while now and the group I play with decided to dip our toes into the fantasy realm.  I'm a little tired of playing a "shooting" army and painting 100's of metal skeletons, so I decided to go with the big uglies.  Looks like I'll be playing regularly against Skaven, Orcs & Goblins, Warriors of Chaos and High Elves.

I picked up the Army book and I'm getting ready to put an order in.  It's looking like I'll go ahead and grab two battalion boxes, which leaves me another $400 to spend on an army, so any advice is welcome.

Either way, wanted to say hello and stop lurking, lol.

Ironblasters and Mournfang are often at the top of most lists.  Personally Sabertusks are one of the most practical units an ogre army can have they are a must.  Weather you use wolfs or the actual kitty models is down to you but get you some of them pronto!

Personally STONEHORN!  I simply love this model and while not massively competitive he just looks epic and uber angry!  He will also always bring attention from fellow gamers when fully painted as well.  I currently in the process of painting mine.

Good choice on the ogres! Great army to start ( I am biased and quite frankly don't care!).

There are lots of people here who can offer all sorts of advice on starting out and building up your OK army. Don't be afraid to ask anything at all.

There are loads of people here who will also be able to offer advice on building an army to suit the regular opponents that you have mentioned; O&G, HE and WoC. We have the tools and the tactics so just ask and someone will help you tailor your army to defeat these Thinling realms.

Feel free to start a Gnoblog so we can all keep up with the progress of your army build and read the tales of your great battles and the defeats of the weaker armies.
