Welcome to the hold! I have heard lovely things about South Africa, I myself live in Canada!

If your starting your painting project, or just doing some battle reports, I encourage you to pop on over to the gnoblog section and make yourself one! Its a fn an interactive way to get to know the community

Welcome to the Stronghold. Ogres are a great army to collect, paint and play. Unlike the Lizards there is allot more variety that can be added into the painting/modelling side of a decent number of ogres (you can avoid the sea of turquoise with some imagination and a good colour scheme).
They are pretty easy to pick up play-wise but with every new and updated armies book you need to keep on your toes;
luckily there are literally loads of people with sound advice on how best to stomp your enemies to death! Keep an eye out for tactical advice posted by Jimmy as this will prove invaluable when starting out with an Ogre army.
On the painting side there are loads of people here who can offer some sound advice should you need it, check out some of Conogres' video's as they have been a great help to me.
Lastly, start yourself a Gnoblog as Conogre has said; if there is one thing that people love it's seeing the growth of a mighty army as it gets some brush-love, coupled with some tales of conquest on the battlefield!

@Conogre: Yeah S.A is nice and warm  and we have lot's of good wine. I have been considering a vacation in your beautiful country for some time now, might actually go within the next year or so!

I truly hope you end up coming over. The hardest decision is deciding where to go in canada. Every province and territory is so unique. If you do end up coming, make sure not to get stuck in the cities. As cool as Toronto,Montreal and Vancouver are, make sure to get off the beaten path and see the wildlife! It's the true gem in my opinion. Just yesterday I went on a day hike and managed to run into a bear a moose and multiple deer. Was quite astounding!

One of my bucket lists items is to do cage diving with the sharks off of S.A. I think it would be so fun. Also! I am quite familiar with SA wine we carry some at a local wine shop here. I'm pretty sure the last one I had was made by  bosman. Don't quote me on that, could be wrong on the name :p
