Ok, so have now finished the book. To those who love Warriors of Chaos, Beastmen, Dark Elves and The Empire it is a fantastic read. I actually think it is the best written GW novel I have read in some time (inc. Horus Heresy). There is even an Ogre appearance in there; a Giant Ogre called the Great Spleen, who is devoted to the Blood God. Such is his size and strength that a whole tribe of marauders believe him to be a living incarnation of Khorne...cool Ogre fluff is always a win.

**SPOILERS**
On the whole, I think the background for Archaon is fantastic. The first half of the book is better than the second I believe. The writer (Rob Sanders) gets a little bogged down in non specifics in the Chaos Wastes (which is understandable due to their questionable/unwritten geography) but other than that it's a formidable piece of writing. The only thing that does bother me about the entire novel is Archaon's entire lack of reaction towards the death of his father figure and later 'sort-of' prophet, Father Dagobert. However, I can definitely get past that!

Mr Sanders, I'm looking forward to the next instalment. And let it be quick please!

This has HUGELY inspired me to pick up my warriors again, I want to change my army in the swords of Chaos and bring about the End Times all by myself ;)

Sanders is good, but is he really Aaron Dembski-Bowden good?
This is Wiki, the pet gnoblar. Say hello, Wiki.
Hard cover and e-book currently.

I think ADB is fantastic, but Sanders didn't labour a point quite as much and the plot was arguably more intelligently thought out (obviously IMO!)

BB that's awesome to hear that there is some ogre fluff. I was going to ask everyone of which books give some ogre talk? I would like to read something fantasy that pays some homage to the fatties

Wild Kingdoms has a lot to do with Ogres from the summary. I ordered it on amazon for $.99!...plus shipping, haha. Black Library has a Golgfag short story on ebook as well, but I haven't read that quite yet.
