So the idea is to combine the Titan Forge Bloodsail models with some of the old Metal Citadel Models which I have been collecting for a while.
I want to use bright colours for the water and a nautical type theme, giving it a tropical type feel.
I haven't got actual photos as yet (cameras not working) so using internet pics to show the models.

That as the makings of a fantastic army right there. Are you really going to have ogres without gutplates though!?
Can't wait to see progress pics.

Hi Gutlord
Ye not sure about the gutplates I don't want to spoil the looks of the lovely older metal models.
However I will be green stuffing pirate hats on various models.

Hi Jimmy
There are a couple of the Metals I need to get (the feather hat leadbelcher and unpainted Pirate) but have most of the others.
I may look at getting a ship of some sort.
The bottom pics are just ideas at this stage but I can certainly convert regular bulls to the wading ashore type ogres.
I certainly don't have the Gnoblars but will try to make something similar with conversions of existing plastics.

What a great brainstorm of models. I love the theme and you've really found some gems there (though I really dislike the old chaos ogre models!) and this could be some great work!

Hey man, quick question. That female man-eater, did you paint that one? I want to see a side by side comparison with a regular ogre for scale purposes.

Ye I am not that keen on the Chaos Ogres either but I have 1 or 2 that fit in well with the old metals plus they were cheaper.
Conogre
The slaughter mistress/ Maneater isn't my model but I will do a size comparison for you.
She is smaller than the Pirate Maneater holding the Anchor but larger than the Leadbelcher (Ogryn) first model in Leadbelchers pics. She fits in well size wise with the older models a bit small for the plastics but you could mount her on a higher base to offset this size difference.

A really stunning army full of fun models and conversions!
My favourite is probably the Ogre sitting down and drinking (or should that be emptying? ) a barrel. That is a really characterful conversion, and everyone knows pirates love rum! And that Norse Giant is absolutely amazing! I really like how you've done the shield, and how the colours on the model work together
Do you have any army-wide shots?

Hi Loran
I just have to say these are not my models in the pics but are the models and ideas I intend to include in my Pirate/Nautical themed Ogre army.
Ye I love the Norse giant as well unfortunately not mine but i may copy the idea.

Whoops, missed that bit
Disregarding that, the idea is a good one! Pirate-themed armies are always fun

This with out doubt! Giants look amazing even if they are not competitive! And any conversion of them can only look better!
