A similar topic to favourite GW model, however the opposite.
I'll start off with mine.
Space marine centurions, the most ridiculous things I've ever seen, the idea pool was running low on the day these were created.
followed closely by;
Taurox Prime, silly track/wheel system and absurd proportions, positively the worst wargaming vehicle ever.

I used to feel the same about the Centurions, until I picked a few boxes of them up for cheap. Upon building and painting them, I've just come round to really loving them
Vote for unpopular opinion of the day goes to me, but I have to go with the Imperial Knight on this one. I just really don't like them... Aesthetically, in fluff, conceptually...

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.
And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

I completely agree with you on the knight, I just think GW is missing the mark a little these days.

I have to agree that the taurox is awful and I think the new ogryn/bullgryn things are awful too. GW seems to have moved to being very hit and miss, new stuff seems to be stunning or awful but not a lot in between IMO.

Nope, they're hitting their mark, their mark being "huge costly models." The more and more of these they bring out, and the more people are gullible enough to buy them, they're going to keep doing it. It's probably their solution to folks not buying normal boxes at ever increasing prices. They don't need to raise the prices if they release these big kits with even larger margins.

My least favourite Ogre Kingdoms mini is Greasus - he managed to get even worse with his transition to Finecast with added casting quality issues!
The Catachan Jungle Fighters look pretty bad to me now, those arms and faces
The Centurions have grown on me since I first saw them, mainly the devastator variety rather than the assault variety though!
Dedled10 Apr 2014
Haha I never noticed but that front catachan has some serious problems going on. Not to mention the other ones apparent tracheotomy.

Khornmobile, the Bloodletters holding on the back almost need speech bubbles saying "WEEEEE!" to complete the "realism" of the model
The night/gutter runner models, just no, no no, NO! Monkeys don't belong in a rodent army

Hmm this took me a little time to think of, absolutely agree about the skull cannon of Khorne. Makes me weep.
Scyla Annfingrim. Hate it.
Most of the leftover models in the Wood Elf range from before their last release. They just look bad in comparison to everything else nowadays!
+ all the old space wolf characters except Logan Grimnir!

The old metal Possessed - swept under the rug by GW very swiftly, they were. Seriously, have you guys seen those abominations?
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.
Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.

There are some Empire characters that I think belong more in a Shakespeare play than on the battlefield...
lbisson10 Apr 2014
The Lizardmen Cold One models are just the dopiest looking things. Hate them. Bad enough that I actually replaced them with the DE Cold Ones.
Nando10 Apr 2014
The Centurions, I hate the heads, but if you put different heads on them I think they're fine.
Scylla gets my vote too, out of the current range, for single worst model.
But for the interests of bringing out something new, I may be in the minority but I'm not a fan of the previous metal/Finecast daemon prince. The plastic one isn't perfect, but I do prefer it.

I can honestly say I haven't seen them... That bad eh?

Agreed on this. Really lovely sculpts, but well off point in terms of their use. Ridiculous!

Yeah, I hated them when they were released and hate them now. I was genuinely surprised they made it through the design process, and then weren't replaced in the latest release...

Oh, come ON guys! Nobody has mentioned the old metal scrap launcer yet? Though since it's been replaced, perhaps I should say the Thundercannon. Just terrible to paint AND build.
Oh wow... Like really... Wow. How did they ever make it out of Lenton?!
JJ
I recall them showing up in WD on the month of their release and I don't think they ever turned up again. They were replaced by the (lovely) plastic Possessed less then a year or so down the line.

Oh no, they did not, that's not even close to their regular standards, that's not even prototype quality

Oh, come ON guys! Nobody has mentioned the old metal scrap launcer yet?
i liked the scraplauncher..... i have 4 of them. 2 i use for hand weights for curling now; yes they are that heavy!
i'm going to say Hellstriders of Slaanesh simply because i cannot comprehend staying saddled on one...... and i miss the old Seekers of Slaanesh model in comparison.

Belchfist Beastkiller12 Apr 2014
Those possessed truly are abominations...perhaps that was the design concept?
the scrap launcher itself was unbelievably tricky to assemble and keep assembled so in it's design it was flawed, but many players adored the concept and shape it took

I personally believe there is no model that cannot be saved by a good paint job.
Except for Nagash. Yeah, that can't be saved.
Ogres - because who honestly likes 2 wound heroes?
