Scaly's Stuntie Smashin Tribe

original thread ↗

This gnoblog is going to chronicle the rise and rise of the Stuntie Smashin Tribe. Since one of my other armies is dwarfs I'm going to incorporate them into the army.

At this stage or will just be the bases but I might end up adding fillers or diorama type thing.

So first up will be the Gunther the hunter.

This month's challenge will be to complete a unit of 8 Bulls. Before

23 april Slight change. There's 5 ogres and 5 ironguts complete except for the basing which I'll do the whole army in one go

Besides ork conversions, I can't say I have seen ogres painted up pure green. So thats a first! Looks good though man, hope to see more!

Would dwarves get hatred vs this army since they technically "hate greenskins"?
All jokes aside it looks good, luckily he can't join units of ranking him up would be impossible.

Unusual skin colour, but I like it. I really love the pose and base; it looks ace! Like, really, really awesome :) I wanna see more!

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
This guy looks really good, I have seen OrcOgre conversions but not green Ogres...he actually looks really good. Will the whole army be green? I certainly hope so as I am sure that this will make this army really stand out on the table.

Great work, keep it up.

Thanks guys. To be honest the main reason I went with green is because I tried a flesh color and failed miserably. Also Brown didn't work so green it is. I haven't painted any greenskins before but after I finish this army it should be a piece of cake.

Fluff wise my tribe will live in the badlands with nothing but orcs, goblins and shrubs to eat. Sick of eating those they frequently travel into the worlds edge mountains to look for dwarf flesh.

Grobnobs gutstar n bull sidekicks April pledge here we go!

So this post is going to consist of the ironguts and Bulls and will be updated with pics.

Here's 8 ogres that I've started on.

Here's an update as at 15 april. Just a few more bits and a wash then they're done. I ended up doing 5 guts and 5 bulls.
Looking great so far dude! I like the metal in particular, and think it'll look fantastic once it's had a wash or two :)

Here are some more ogres I've been working on for what seems like ages. 2 Slaughtermasters and 7 maneaters. I like to think that by posting pics it's evidence for myself that I'm actually painting stuff and getting through the army. :) Once the whole army is complete I'll set up a light box and get decent pics of everything.Happy days.
