Tasked by the Great Khan, the Ogres and Gnobblers of the Amsa-Sunnasa Horde have begun construction on a great raft to carry their strength and hunger to the seas! Constructed from the finest of Loren lumbers, anointed by the blood of the elves who defended the trees, it is nearly sea worthy!
My FLGS is doing a Warhammer on the High Seas using the navy battle rules from the General's Compendium. We are limited to 500 points, and max of medium ship, or two small ships. I opted for a Medium ship, coming in at 18 inches. However the points were so low that I had to either opt for an all gnobbler ship with 'generic' siege equipment, or do what ogres do best and throw muscle at the problem. Thus was born an 18x12 monstrosity of a raft whose sole purpose in life is to slam into an enemy ship and fill it with ogres.
Below are the results of the first day of construction:

^The base of the raft, being slowly planked over.

^My father, who is helping with the rigging given his love of build model ships, holding up our composite sails!

^The oars for when the wind fails me, are the guys with war machines or fire kill my sails. (There are more, and they are incomplete)

^The central platform, mast and partially rigged sail from later on in the day, as well as a near complete raft.

^Resting loosely as it will when done. Central platform will be raised slightly, and will have gunwales for leadbelchers to fire from. The front rails of the bottom raft will unfold into a boarding ramp to ensure every ogre aboard can rush onto a ship after we ram it.

Anther shot with ogre aboard for scale.
