Nice bat rep.  Poor Yhetees...  they didn't deserve to get flanked.  I do think you got baited into charging your stonehorn though.  He gave an obvious vangaurd charge and then followed it up with a charge from a better unit.  Nice idea dodging the ghoul king, but after the miscast the unit was pretty much toast, why didn't you reform and kill his ghoul king and unit once and for all?  Or was it more points to go for the engine and the crypt dudes?
The enemy of my enemy is my double enemy.

Gut magic:  The art of eating what nobody else wants to eat, just to see what happens.
It netted me more points to go after the crypt ghouls because I was able to get into the deployment zone with fortitude. The bonus points for doing that in the scenario make that the better way to go.

Warriors of chaos are hard, but by no means unbeatable even with Purple Sun and the Nurgle prince.  In all honesty, I have heard more people complain about ogres than any other army.  That being said, they do require you to play your army differently.  I am surprise at 3000 pts how few ogres and units you put on the table.  But when you clearly have ranged superiority over an enemy, no matter how anti-ogre it seems, you have to maximize standoff for as long as possible and then spring charges on him when he thinks you are playing defensively.  You can also mass all 3 tusks against a single enemy light cav and they hold decently, even stand a chance mainly because the tusks are 3 separate units and wounds do not carry over, and the enemy does not get overkill.  Tusks can win this way, and they can still all die, but in 3 separate combats like this it is basically guaranteed that they all die with no lasting effect or contribution(charge in your turn and die, doesn't hold anything up in their turn but you gave him a free reform).  So it's a good chance at success in one gamble or 3 separate gambles with a poor chance of success.  Better to go with the first, you'll do better in the long run.

I don't know if it would have made a difference here, this was brutal and I do not envy you.  You fought the hard fight and, despite you saying you learned nothing, you learn something very valuable about your own weaknesses against this army. You WILL be more prepared against this army the next time you see it and it will be a more even fight, you just don't know it now!
hey mittierim really enjoying your reports keep em up!
