Hello all, I've been a member of The Ogre Stronghold since 2011, and made another Gnoblog back then, but burned out of Ogres that year also. This year over the last two days I've been working on a new Ogre Kingdoms project though, which is Ogre Auxiliary forces for The Empire, my reasoning is that with Ogres being almost Human equivalent in intelligence, Karl Franz may have some auxiliary regiments of Ogres that he draws upon on bad days on the battlefield; so basically Empire themed Ogres.
This is what I've done so far, what I have worked on over the last two days:
Overview:
Ogres Regiment - the Warrior Priest looking one is going to be my Butcher, and the others are supposed to be inspired by the Empire Free Company Militia, with their array of weapons from guns to pitchforks or old swords that may be family heirlooms, and so forth:
Ironguts Regiment - These ones are Empire Greatswords inspired Ironguts Ogres, and I am especially proud of the champion of the regiment. I think the Ironguts - Greatswords conversion is the easiest Ogre Kingdoms - Empire correlation because they both wear heavy armour and use great weapons.
Misc - These are some shots of my Butcher Warrior Priest, Witch Hunter Ogre Hunter and old faithful Ungo Lungo, who I painted way back in 2005 and desperately needs an overhaul.
Misc:
I want to come up with some fluff and everything for my new project and the characters in my army and the regiments themselves, and also I'll be playing some games with them this weekend coming up; I am not the greatest painter ever though so I suspect painting these will be a challenge.
The next thing I want to add to this army is a regiment of Leadbelchers.
