James's first OK army..

Hi guys, just thought I would start a Gnoblog for my army. My wife got me a battalion box, another unit of ogres, a box of mournfang a stonehorn kit, ironblaster, and gutsman for my 30th birthday this week. She knew I was getting bored of playing skaven all the time lol although they were my first WFB army and will always have a soft spot for them lol.

Any ways, I have no name for these yet or a back story but it will happen. So far have painted the leadbelchers, gutsman, a unit of bulls and the  ironblaster.

So as you can see I've managed to get a fair bit painted over a short period if time and quite pleases with how they have turned out ( even though the paint could be thinned abit more!)

Pink pant leadbelchers! Lol nice. Looks good, the ironblaster ogre reminds of of (i think his namely) the voice of saruman he was in the extended scenes on return of the king. He looks like a mean mutha lol good job

I like the purple pants guts! They are brutal! I don't know if the skin is as pale as it shows or is it 'cause of camera's flash, but it sure looks very nice. Very deadly band of ogres. Did you give metal parts any washes? I think they could use a bit more shadows.

I like the Ironguts, the bloodied clubs look really brutal....many must be the number of cowardly Skaven who have been pulverised by such a gore-covered club  !

 ^ Agreed! The blood is so thick, I dig it man. Very brutal and gory Top notch.
- Did you use blood for blood god? certainly looks like it!

Thanks guys. Yeah used blood for the blood god love that stuff. The metal areas did receive a wash and high light but the flash made it look like it hasn't.  Yeah many skaven were smashed lol. As it happens my other fantasy army is skaven lol.

Right so for this is how the army is looking.....







All I need to finish it off for my 2400pts is another box of mornfang (which are on order) a box of leadbelchers, ironguts and another slaughter master. Then its all ready for a local tourny!

Army is looking really good. The slaughtermaster is looking great, love the sea of blood. The stonehorn is looking good too like the horns, are you intending to base the whole army in one go?

Hi thanks for the kind comments. Yeah will be based in one go, going to use a few rocks and the newish GW base paint (the one that cracks)
