I am back with a new OK army, looking for guidance

original thread ↗

So my Ogres army did arrive today. It wasn't packed well, but most of the models are repairable. Any idea how to get a female maneater head??

The army needs a lot of work, and the army book didn't arrive with it, so I have to figure out how to get one as I can't afford to just go buy it.

There is more,  but I will save it for a Gnoblog.

As some of the models are broken, you might want to pin the bits together for that extra bit of durability. Especially with metal models! I pin everything that's metal, going even so far as to pin the weapons on the old metal Dark Elf Executioners :)

But that army is looking good! Hopefully you find the Maneater head :)

Awesome!

If you want to remove the paint from the figures there is a good paint-striping thread around here : )

Otherwise - get a pinning tool and extra drills and get going - it makes a difference!

I have very little experience with pining and tend to avoid it, but there are a couple of models that are simply going to have to be done as glue will not do the trick.

Now that I am working with these models, the Confrontation models are simply beautifully painted. Studio quality. I am very happy!

Confrontation had some wonderful models...

Pinning isn't too hard when you get used to it - you can buy a mini pinning kit from some places, Privateer Press do a nice one, extremely simple and no crazy amount of prep work.

+1. I use that model too.

Pinning small hands and weapons are bitchy. I have mainly used pinning for the things I know will break off like odd war machines and wings and most gamezone cav models.... (they looks so great but fit and balance like.... )

If you skip the pinning then at least remove old glue with a knife/scalpel so the new glue gets a good contact surface and the glued item wont break off easily again : )
