Thundertusk/Stonehorn instructions

original thread ↗

So, is it possible to get the instructions for how these models are put together somewhere? I bought one off ebay and it has already been superglued as a thundertusk, but he also sent the sprue that seems to have all the bits to turn it into a stonehorn as well. But I'm thinking that if I try and figure this out on my own, I'll end up with something that does more damage to myself than my enemies.
Hey friend,

I just checked and I threw out my instruction papers : / But I recall that it was not too difficult to put together so dont despair yet : )

See if you can find an 'unboxing' or 'painting' video in youtube of the models and see how they put it together - the video should give you all the angles needed.

Cut the parts of the sprue (worst case if stuff is missing they just end up taking up less space) and try fitting them together for the head part. The parts are fairly unambiguous to how they fit so you should be able to make the stonehorn head - compare with the above youtube vids and see if you got it right.

For the superglue - put the model in the freezer and gently try to break off the head : )

I hope this helps somewhat as a back up plan for your new awesome model - good luck!

You could, like i did, get your hands on another thunder/stone body and assemble an extra monster.
Two for the price of 1 and 1/2.  :)
You might have to do some tinkering here and there, but in the end it works out IF you have the necessary bits from the box.

Oh, freezer. I hadn't considered that. I'll have to give it a try, and just be really careful with it.

If the freezer thing doesn't work, I'll have to see what parts I would need for a 2nd body. I mean, those models were a big part of the reason I started looking into ogres, so I couldn't go wrong with a 2nd. Maybe a whole herd!

Luckily, I've been busy painting some Bulls so far, so it's been waiting patiently for me to throw some attention that way.

Thanks folks!
Hey, fellow Ogre paying it forward here... ;)

I have an extra set of Stonehorn/Thundertusk instructions. :P

If you still need them still I am sure we can work something out. (scan e-mail, snail mail, yadda yadda).

Let me know :D
