Hello forums, i'm making up a fun game which is based on chess.
Basic info about the game:
So Knights of Ysolu is based off from chess.
The goal of this game is to aquire victory points that you gain from objectives.
Upon destroying an enemy troop you gain +1 health and +1 movement speed.

Section one:
Units:
Pawn:
Info: These are your basic troops that you use as a meatshield trough the game.
Movement:
Each pawn can only move forward and may never turn back.
Pawns can move one square per turn.
Pawns also gain one charge point each on map installation.
Health and damage:
Health: 1 armor
Damage: 1 damage (Attack range is one square 180 degrees from where hes facing.)
Knight:
Info: These units are your fast moving support troops.
Movement:
Knights move exactly like in real chess.
Knights gain 3 charge points each upon map installation.
Health and damage:
Health: 2 armor
Damage: 1 damage. (Attack range is one square 360 degrees around the knight.)
Special rules:
Knights use a lance which is more effective upon charging. (Charging increases damage +1)
Knights can attack while charging.
Bishop:
Info: Bishop's are your scouting units.
Movement:
Bishops can move diagonally two squares each turn.
Bishops charge works on a cooldown. Each time you use charge on a bishop you cant charge on the next turn.
Health and damage:
Health: 1 armor
Damage: 1 damage (Attack range is one square 360 degrees around the bishop.)
Special rules:
Bishops gain +1 bonus victory point from objectives.

Gameplay:
Combat rules:
Killing an unit relocates the killing unit to the position of the dying unit. (The victorious unit consumes the defeated one for their armor and movement bonuses)
Charging units cannot use an attack. (exeption of knights)
Unit rules:
Charging: Unit gains doubled movement speed for the current turn.
Objectives:
Victory march- (Upon walking to the edge of the map on the enemy's side, you gain +1 victory point and lose your unit.)
Flag location- (If the game ends and you have one unit standing on an flag location square, you gain +2 victory points)
Killing the queen- (Upon killing a queen ends the game and the person who has more victory points win the game.)
Maps:
Mud:
Areas flooded with mud always halves your movement.
Water:
Areas filled with water are impassable.
Cliffs:
Areas with cliffs take one whole turn to climb up.
Flags:
Square with a flag on it increases movement speed and damage by +1 for the nearby allies if an unit is standing on this square. (Range of 5 squares)
