Beast Seekers Tribe

Hey bellow brogres iv been on this forum for some time and been a ok player since iv started playing whfb so here's the background for my tribe the Beast Seekers.

Background
The Beast Seekers roam the high peaks of the mounting of mourn . Amongst there ranks they have a range of monsters that stalk the high peaks of the mounting roaming from sabretusks, yhetee's, thundertusks, stonehorne and mournfangs.

They use these beasts to help pray on vulnerable unexpected pray that get lost or separated from  there party whilst in the mountings. The Ogres within the tribe learn hunting techniques from the beasts so they become a close knit hunting unit.

The Beast Seekers often travel down from the mounting's searching across the four corners of the world to capture, pray upon and use these creatures amongst there ranks of there tribe.

Within the ranks of Ogres there are butchers that help with the magical connection to the great maw and they also help with gutting, skinning and  dicing the creatures that the tribe slay. They also take there powers from what beasts they kill.

The Beast Seekers are easy to recognize with beasts within there ranks, while wearing white war paint to help hide within the snowy peaks of the mountings so be afraid be very afraid if your alone.

Welcome my brogres for those of you who read the first post thank you its just a little in site to my ogre tribe.

I will up load some pictures of some models iv recently repainted and some iv recently bought. iv already got my first pledge for Septembers monthly painting challenge as iv just dug out some of my old ogre models so im gonna have fun and its going to be interesting.

So September pledge so been set at the start of the month and now finished pics have been taken and up loaded the page but will also be uploaded here to so just look out for 6x ogres 4x yhetees and 2x mournfangs.

Will keep you up dated with pics, fluffy army lists for my tribe, battles and campaigns. I will also edit posts that have pics in for example names of the unit or character an background info to fit them in the background of the tribe so please pop back to see if i've done so, if i have not done so by the time you take a peek feel free to slap me round the head with the nearest iron fist.

So here is there first lot of my ogres and also first six that i did for Septembers monthly painting contest. I am fond of these hope you also enjoy.

So the background for the unit:

Unit Name: Seekers
Info: The Ogres of the unit have the wanderlust like any other ogre but these have the hunter urge to go out and trap and kill the animals that roam the mounting and bring back there kill to feed the rest of the tribe.Each of these ogre's are hunters in there own right but band together in times of need to make up the ranks of ogre units. Also each of these ogre's while out on there own hunting for food they team up with packs of yhetee's, sabertusks and now and again the odd pack of mournfang's.

Here's my Ironguts to finish off my core units for my army but now need all my beasty's and lords and hero's.

Unit Name: Bully Boys
Info: The Ironguts of this unit are all drinking buddys of the Tyrant and the Bruiser, so they have a very close nit friends that are trusted and held high in a fashion ( well to an extent ). These ogre's get there armour from the spoils of war but they only get there pick by bullying there fellow ogre's and often a few fights brake out amongst the units. But most of there fellows tend to let them have the armour as it slows them down while out on the hunt as its best to be lighter on you're feet to bring down a faster beast.

Here is my other beasty's that i've done for the September monthly painting comp 4x yhetees and 2x mournfangs and they will fit in nicely to the tribe.

And i thought i may through a few leadbelchers in to just to show off a few tattooed and sooty Ogres that will help to shoot down there unwilling victims.

These two big beast's unfortunately fell into the trap of these three riders as they were out on the hunt for some other unfortunate beast that was lurking in the mitt's of the high peaks of the mounting above the stronghold.
 Whilst out on there routine checks for the there traps the have laid out to lure the mysterious beast they found a angry injured stonehorn trapped and tangled amongst one of there traps, so the ogre that now rides this beast is known as beast breaker as he is the first ogre of the tribe to go to battle on top of a magnificent beast. 
 While a few days later still on the hunt for the mysterious beast that was still at large beast breaker and his two fellow Ogres come across an unwilling bad tempered hungry thundertusk, so what better chance than to capture and ride this fierce beast and use this animal to help there tribe in battle and raise there tribe status as the might BeastSeekers.

So near so far, here are two big beasty's to fit in with my tribe. Hopefully i shall be bringing the Beast Seekers to a battle near you you.

So here's some of the big boy's you may see heading my tribe.

Bruiser: Mazzakk Maneater

Background info:
Where shall we start its  me. Younger brother to the Tyrant Mazzakk Mawseeker. The name is more of a tittle rather than a name given to the tyrant of the tribe. So why have you got that name i hear you ask, it goes to the tragic day we lost the Mawseeker. Earlier that day i returned to the hold after my time in empire after being hired to track down and kill a Arachnarok Spider with a few fellow maneaters but that was after being mistaken for the informers Golgfag.

So after the grueling games an competitions to rename the new tyrant low and behold it was Mazzakk Maneater.

But the day of the return of the newly reformed Mazzakk Mawseeker that was lost for an age came to recall the title as tyrant, was the day i challenged the bruiser to a bare fist fight to the death the was only one out come. As the is no room for two tyrants in one hold.

I also still carry the tyrant name of Mazzakk so watch this space for the challenge of the tyrant.

As i been asked how I painted some of my modles I thought id share it

I kept the painting very simple for both the skin, the bone and the fur colours.

Thundertusk, Yhetee's, Mournfang, (tusks,fur,bone) I sprayed the whole model white and then just used agrax earthshade

Ogre skin, I based coated them black then used tallarn flesh then washed it again with the same brown as the thundertusk, which was agrax earthshade.

And thanks for those who enjoyed my painting.

Here's a 2k list i run with as im trying to keep ot fluff to my background of my army its not all that competitive but it also has won a few battles but i do enjoy playing the beasts.
