mornfangs

So I've had a good look through the Q&A and not found the answer unless I missed it but here goes what is the wounds you use for the mornfangs do you split the wounds or is it orge only and if so what is the point of the mornfangs having loads of wounds it's very confusing/misleading in the book please help many thanks .

The Monstrous Cavalry rules have what you want. Its under the unit type section of the main rulebook.

But they both have 3 wounds me and a friend read this section and still were none the wiser just more confused and my other question still stands if it's the riders only wound then what the point of muti wound on the mornfangs

Just in case anything ever comes along that can separate rider from mount I'd guess.

Or the ability to put  something other than an ogre (i.e. Tyrants) on a mournfang in the future.


In any case, the answer is three. Monstrous Cavalry use the highest wound characteristic for any profile in the model, which for Mournfangs is three.

Also you can actually field mournfangs on their own in storm of magic games.  (Update in a White dwarfs if I remember correctly)  Letting them have 1 wound in that scenario would be quite harsh
