Okay, random idea, a new upgrade for leadbelchers.

Long-Barreled Cannon: +10pts per model, can be individually equipped (like Maneaters).
Extends the range of shooting up to 30", and when in close combat it's treated like a great weapon.

:P Just a thought.

Seems ok.  A great weapon is worth about six points, so you would also be paying 4 points for an increase in range of 6 inches.

It doesnt really add anything to the army. If you want great weapons get ironguts. If you want range, move your unit : )

Otherwise not bad : )

I'd rather see an increase to BS4, but a decrease to d3 shots. 'Less spread' but more accurate.
