In 6th ed the Butchers had tooth gnoblars to help power their magic. Our magic revolves around blood and guts so there should be a rule accounting for this. I am not here to tell you how you should do this, I am just going to put forward some ideas on how we might implement it.
Tooth Gnoblar - once use only. Rule: Fresh meat, the caster revitalized by a bit of fresh blood can add a d6 to the casting cost. On a roll of a one - "urp- I shouldn't have eaten that." caster suffers a str d6 hit that cannot be saved.
The cost of the tooth gnoblar is an upgrade and does not count against the magic item total.
Alternatively there could be a benefit for getting your caster into the thick of it. It works a little like killing blow. If the caster rolls a 6 to hit and that hit results in a casualty the caster gets a +1 to cast or dispell next magic phase, this stacks with the Gut Lore bonus. This won't happen very often which is why I feel you can drop it on the caster without altering the points cost.
C&C welcome.

Actions speak louder than words, unless your eating a mime of course.
