Do the new Errata/FAQ reveal something unintentional?

original thread ↗

Afternoon one and all :)

I was just printing and reading the latest round of Errata and FAQ documents produced by GW, found at the link below if you haven't already seen them, and I noticed something peculiar...

The only two armies that haven't had an update are High Elves - understandable with them being imminently released - and strangely, Wood Elves. Why are Wood Elves the only other army to have not been done? It isn't due to the age of the Army Book, because Bretts got an updated FAQ! Maybe the Games Developers didn't see the point, because it would become redundant soon. Could it be a sign of what's to come?

Maybe not, and there just wasn't anything new to update on their rules, but I just found it worth mentioning :)

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
I heard a rumour that GW were doing "blocks" of armies. So far we've had CSM and warriors, daemons and daemons, and it's looking like eldar and HE.

Th rumour I heard is that we can expect all three elf armies together.

So, HElves, DElves and WElves? If so, that'd be amazing! :)

I'd vote for the option that gw just didnt bother... : ) It just sounds more likely. Or they are having a giggle now for all our speculations.

HE not getting a FAQ I buy for sure. But WE? nope and by that logic DE shouldnt have gotten a FAQ either. The proposed schedule puts WE far out although they are underway, which of course if good.

I might qualify that when I said "together" I meant "in succession".

Which I took as assumed :)

yeah, should have seen that too : )

Nonetheless, I doubt we will see WE and DE in the next coming releases after HE (that was what you meant, right? :-)

According to most rumors gatherer, Lizardmen will be the next Fantasy Army after High Elves. Seeing as they have been pretty accurate about the last couple of rumors, I would tend to think that they are the next army we will see.

As far as WE are concerned, I think it's pretty sad that they are coming so late, seeing how they are one of the army I have always like a lot. But I'm not complaining, since my 1st army for my WHFB comeback was Lizards and I'm really looking forward to completing this army.

BoLS agrees and predicts Dwarfs for Novmeber, Lizardmen in August.

That's probably right then. My elf rumour may have started purely as speculation given that they did chaos together and then recycled as a rumour.
Well, did the Wood Elves have anything needing to be FAQ'd?

That would be my thoughts to Grey, they're book is so old (and there aren't a huge number of folk playing them) that they really didn't need anything FAQing.
