If we were to get more/redone ogre models for a "Wave 2," What would you want?
I vote Plastic Man-Eater Kit.
Sazel24 Apr 2013
Maybe a new special character?
Oh, and some cheap fliers granted, the Sabretusks already somewhat cover that role for us, but heck, if the DoC can get giant flying diseased flies, then we deserve some vultures or something
Oooh, or maybe some more Gnoblar units, to create a possible subtheme for the army (kinda like how O&G can go just O or just G, y'know lol).
I also thought, it would be awesome if we could actually have some models that are like the descendants of the Sky Titans that ogres conquered years ago; some sort of titan that would be just plain overkill lol...
...and some more Core choices. We only have 3. It'd be nice to maybe see what they could come up with...
24 Gnobs! Wow, 2 sets, crazy! Toothy, Workie, Sir Reginald, and Busty (for the bus explanation)!
43/101 Achievements earned! Woo! Got some of the tricky ones!
New book WLD: 17/8/2 ... A good quick game to get me re-invigorated, glad it was a win either way lol

Plastic Maneaters, Gorgers and Yhetees.
That's it for me.
My hood is my castle...

I would be ecstatic about:
- A mounted Tyrant on a Mournfang - Plastic maneaters - A gnoblar hero - USEFUL special character rules - the models as such are lovely and diverse

I would be happy with;
A Tyrant with mounting possibilities Ie MFC or Stonehorn?! Removal of hell heart.... im joking Gnoblar special character whether its an upgrade for Ironblaster or gnoblar units. Something like "artillery expert" - Re-roll on miscast! Plastic Man Eaters... man oh man! lol
Lvl 4 Firebelly equivalent, and everything everyone else said

One thing and one thing only - more special characters! Plastic Maneaters are wonderfully easy to convert and the book itself doesn't really want for much in terms of gaming. 4 special characters (2 of them worthless) in an 8th ed book is really not on however. Jhared the Red, Ma the Grub and some kind of Firebelly and Yhetee type characters are all prime candidates.
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.
Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.

I don't think this is really a topic on wishlisting for new/more entries into our army book, as much as it is for models for the current book...
OT, I guess I would genuinely love to see a plastic Maneaters kit, maybe a reinvigoration of the Hunter model (it is far too static at present), maybe some better Leadbelchers, and a plastic Lord/Hero kit.

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.
And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

Apologies JJ, and I guess my on topic wish would be Leadbelchers that aren't shooting each other in the back, plastic and better looking Gorgers, better looking and cheaper Sabres, and plastic Yhetees.
I'm fine with converting Maneaters, BSBs, Butchers of different lores and Tyrants. It gives almost every Ogre army their unique-ness that all Ogre armies should have.

The only reason I say, it that our book is relatively new by the standards of the game, and it would be a little premature to even get a White Dwarf update, let alone anything more substantial... Didn't mean to come across so blunt guys

#1) Ghark Ironskin!
#2) Level 4 Firebelly.
#3) Monstrous Cavalry mount options for Tyrant's / Bruisers.
#4) Tenderizer!
#5) Re-price Big Names, Thundermace, and Siegebreaker to make them worth taking.
#6) Adjust profile/rules for Greasus and Bragg to make them playable.

I think the butcher/slaughtermaster model is really quite terrible and could use a re-release.

Lvl 4 Firebelly equivalent,
Agreed, and some Leadbelchers that actually rank up nicely, oh and maybe some kind of fast cavalry (gnoblars riding cave weasels?) dirt cheap stuff to expand the gnoblar section. And bring back skirmishing trappers!
Game's the same, just got more fierce. ~ Slim Charles

Plastic Maneaters in a box of 3, based on the universal ogre body.
WD rule supplement adding Mournfangs as a mount option for Ogre Characters, along with a plastic mounted character kit.

haha well I havent figured out the lore....
A gnoblar character would be awesome, it doesn't have to be a wizard though, could be a Hero with Ld 6? & a BSB option?? Anything to further the gnoblar sub-theme, I really hope GW doesn't abandon it!!
mpdscott26 Apr 2013
Gnoblar Wizard Lore = Lore of the Peckish Gob...
But for additional models the answer is clearly Plastic Yhettees/Gorger set, and a Maneater Conversion kit.
Zolas26 Apr 2013
I actually agree with a lot of the above but if I had a choice I would like some more body variant of ogre bulls and iron guts personally for more dynamic poses.
Also some new different weapons and armour with ogre iconography like what you get you get in the mournfang set or the arm bracers that you get in the stonehorn / thundertusk riders for instance.
