I am attending a tournament in a few days and I would like Thoughts and comment on my army list. There will be 2 battle line scenarios, and 3 other with controlling different markers on the table. Since I am new to ogre I would appreciate any thoughts and comments!, but I have played dwarves for 1,5 Years. So casting magic is something weird and strange =)
Here are some of the restriction: Max 500Pts on units Max 5 PD for casting spells No Special or Named Characters. All BSBs can take all the Equipment, their unit type has acces to as if they weren't BSBs. The rules for buildings will not be used. Treat all building type terrain features as impassable terrain.

List looks solid. Cant really say much.
Only thing you are missing is the stubborn crown. However I agree that taking the Hellheart would be problematic for yourself, losing dice is a bad system The Hellheart isn't terribly over powered... First you need to get near, then roll decent on the distance roll... (I always roll 1-2!!!) so yeh... rant over. Honestly there isn't much you could change at all, your list is pretty solid and I think it will perform well.
I can only say keep on top of your sabres and don't let them panic anything and make sure to support your guts if you don't make them stubborn
after playing dwarfs the thinking of that you always need to kit out your characters for max survivability is still here when thinking of how to kit my chars.
Right now I am placing SL in first rank of IG +1LD group with the BSB in the 2 rank. So a player in the gaming group I am part of "asked why I don't give the BSB the crown and Charmed shield and maybe a GW?" making him so vulnerable (with my Grumpy Dwarven eyes ) is scary,(I might be over reacting) but then again I would get the crown and ogres are tougher then a dwarf. Then shall I go for a magical weapon or a GW?

Ogres can potentially have problems as they often go without magical attacks so a magic weapon for the BSB might be good but on the other hand I personally like the gw. Against other characters He'll strike last anyway and the S7 attacks will be worth it against high AS opponents. My BSB runs with a gw and 4+ ward - he survives with the W4 T5 and 4++ (forget about armor here as any decent opponent will tear it up anyway).
The poison man eaters should have a brace of pistols to be useful and I'd trade some of the ironguts to do so and beef up the unit to 6 - again the dwarf player in you might like to be stubborn but go for sniper and those man eaters will rock! You can sniper enemy wizards and using hell heart you can put even more damage to his casters.
Considering you are using a lvl4 heavens with lots of shooting I would max out lead belchers too to create a more gun-line like army (yep, you have been playing dwarfs for sure ; ) For the butcher I'd skip his 2nd magic level to free up points! His true purpose in your army will be casting the sign. spell to make your units stubborn!
So with my changes you may be looking at following units: 2x 6 IG 6 LB 6 ME 4 MF 1 IB 2x SB
The combat potential is a bit weaker than your starting list BUT you will have a killer shooting phase and the LB, IB and ME are solid flank chargers to support the IG. The magic support from heavens is amazing for this list and the stubborn spell will keep you in combat until the supports can attack. Also you have a strong magic defense.

Thank you Joakim for the list advice, sadly I don't have the time to sculpt/conversion the models before the Tournament, but I will keep the list in mind for later.
The main thing that I really can change before the tournament is EQ on characters, Maneaters or remove ogres to have more point to spend els where

Ah, too bad!
What do you have available? That is kinda important : )
The original list is solid still - but if the SM goes with the IG the sickle will cost you 14 pt pr round by the wounds inflicted on unit. But that is also my personal opinion on not taking the sickle ; ) If it works for you by all means go for it!

since I need to be finished tomorrow night, I sadly dont have the time to change anything body vise, just trying to finishing painting them all =P ( kinda stressfull)
But lets say I remove the Grut´s sickle and give him crown instead, what shall I spend the remaining 17 point I have free then?

Id opt for the "biting blade" giving your SM a +1 to hit and will make ethereals think twice before charging (maybe)
already have sword of striking ( +1 to hit) on my BSB. biting sword give armour piercing
mcsheehy25 Apr 2013
Thank you shorty yes I did mean the biting blade got the rules mixed up though -1 to AS is still better than nothing, failing that give him an AHW + Potion of Speed
It's tricky, and re-distributing points will be more to the personal feel.
If the amount of models is fixed, I'd focus on the two main blocks of IG. Give the second unit a magic banner too.
I would change the SM lore to the maw for more buff spells to cast (lore of heaven seem to me to be more suitable for a more shooting list) and then change the butcher to a lvl1 beast for the awesome signature spell (having a lvl4 and lvl2 will usually give you more spells than you need).
Instead of the sickle I'd go for a powerstone on the SM. +2 power dices for one spell in that essential magic phase is worth more than the +2 cast in all the other rounds AND wounding the IG, to me.
Id give the BSB a 4++ and a gw - move the small magic weapon to the butcher or leave it at home in favor of another gw : )
The leftover points could go into the man eaters for a brace of pistols : )

I just noted this part:
"...and 3 other [scenarios] with controlling different markers on the table...."
For this have you considered vanguard/scouts for the man eaters to increase mobility?
Dwarf/Ogre blog (Danish)
Shorty25 Apr 2013
I havent thought about vanguard/scoute mainly because I dont feel I can control it enough well for it yet.
Shorty25 Apr 2013
I did a minor change and its this :
Slougthermaster LvL 4 heaven´s. Crown of Comand, Talisman of Preservation, Sword of Might
Will tho take a closer look at Death and decide between it and Heavens
