Underdog Challenge

There is an obscure rule I just stumbled across after the nth time reading the BRB in bed.

If a unit champion kills a character you earn an additional 50 points. Off the top of my head I can't think of a better army to take advantage of this rule--especially considering the 3 wound factor.

Has anyone ever taken advantage of this rule?

Well, it's definitely helpful. However, most of the time, I use my champions to soak up an unfavorable challenge situation, so that the rest of my unit can hopefully slaughter their main unit and win via CR. But, hey, if you kill an enemy character, that's just icing on the cake there

If you plan on utilizing that rule, then get Maw/Beasts, for Wyssan's and the Maw buffs. That'll probably be the only way you can pull it off

The easiest way to do this is with a Maneater champ with AhW.  That gives you 6 WS4 S5 attacks and a S5 stomp.  Enemy Hero Wizards and most combat heroes can't withstand that kind of punishment.

I've bagged the underdog challenge a few times by beating the snot out of enemy wizards or captains/warrior priests with my ME champ (the poison rule helps too )
