1200 point list against WoC - any suggestions?

Hi Guys

Have my second ever battle on Saturday and its a 1200 point battle against WoC, lost the last game to him but not by much (was 1000 points)

Not sure about his army except he has 23 models including 2 fliers (i'm assuming demon prince)

I was thinking of

Firebelly, lv1, extra hand weapon, dispel scroll, ruby ring (172) (with the bulls)
Bruiser, HA, BSB (134) (with the IG's)

5 x IG's. FC, Standard of discipline (260)
6 x Bulls, ironfists, FC, Look out gnobler (227)

4 x leadbelchers, FC (192)
2 x 1 Sabretusks (42)

Ironblaster (170)

Total 1197, he letting me be 6 points over on hero allocation.

Any thoughts

Since Firebelly is yours general i would put him in ironguts unit for 8 Ld Inspiring Presence. I would also drop some Command group options (eg. champion in leadbelchers unit) and one item on firebelly for better gear for bruiser (enchant shield / sword of striking / great weapon / any potions)

Alternatively, skip the BSB(!) I know it sounds crazy to some but remember that the whole army causes fear so you cannot be terrorized off the board.

The sole purpose of the bruiser is to be BSB, the points can be spend on:

1. Additional magic level for the firebelly. Two spells might be too little and you can put pressure on the opponent by having 3 spells with relative low casting value. WoC casters are expensive so his magic phase might not be too strong : )
Also give the firebelly a greatweapon and let him stay in 2nd row of the unit where his 3 S6 attacks hurt more than 4 S4 attacks : )

2. Additional ironguts to make up for the lack of a bruiser.

3. Replace leadbelchers for man-eaters. Leadbelchers are not bad at all - man-eater can just do a lot of different things in a small game. (scouts, immune to psyc. or stubborn for the lack of the BSB, can take another magic banner). Only give them adh to keep the cost down.

Unfortunatley I didn't have time to change my army list. although I will follow your suggestions for next time.

I lost, but it ended up being 3 Ironguts and a Firebelly vs 13 GW's and Festus. my 3 ironguts died before being able to hit back then next turn my Firebelly imploded after rolling a double 6 for magic....

He did bring a demon prince who annihilated the 4 leadbeltchers before failing his charge on my ironblaster by 2 inches. he was flanking me so I couldn't charge, however I wheeled and unloaded grapeshot into his face. 2 hit, 1 wounded and rolled a 6 for multiple wounds which killed him outright. Highlight of the match in my opinion.
