The Tribe of Winter's Maw

original thread ↗

Howdy folks, first ever post and first ever ogre army in 8th edition.  I played them in 7th, but converted over to WoC.  I play mainly Woc, VC, and CD, but have had the CD banned in my local gaming group so am thinking of starting an Ogre army.  Here is my first attempt.  Let me know what you all think and thanks for taking the time to check out the post.

The Tribe of Winter's Maw

Zarr Redmaw, Devourer of Souls
Slaughter Master
Level 4 Wizard (Lore of the Great Maw)
Extra Hand Weapon
Talisman of Preservation

Bane Gutripper, Herald of the Tempest
Bruiser
BSB
Extra Hand Weapon
Armor of Destiney

Vargus Stonehide, The Beastmaster
Hunter
Harpoon Launcher
Charmed Shield, Opal Amulet
Stonehorn

7 Ironguts (General and BSB here)
Full Command
Dragonhide Banner

2 x 4 Ogres
Bellower, Extra Hand Weapons

3 x 2 Mournfang Cavalry
Heavy Armor, Ironfists

2 x Sabretusks

2 x Thundertusks

10 drops, 3 monsters, an atypical shooting phase of 3 bolt throwers, 2 stone throwers, and 2 chaintraps.  A level 4 for magic defense and a good amount of hard hitting, mobile units for target saturation.  The name of the game is to encircle and combo charge everything into oblivion.

Ideally i would like to have a Tyrant as well but figure i will include him in 3k+ battles.
What do you do when faced with an evil that cannot be defeated by just means?  Do you stain your hands with evil in order to overcome evil?  Or remain steadfastly just even if it means succumbing to evil?
