My ogres have arrived

original thread ↗

So my 2 battalion boxes have arrived and im going to start assembly soon.  Im pretty sure I want to build 8 led belchers and make 3 heros.  Now my question is what to build for core.  Should i go 9 Ogres and 12 IG's or vice versa? Thanks for the advice!!
Build as many Ironguts as you can. They are more expensive to build after the battalion box since they come in boxes of 4 instead of 6.

I for one would also build the 8 Leadbelchers. You can also build 30 some Gnoblars which are really underrated.
Armies played: Ogre Kingdoms and Lizardmen
Record in 8th :         W  /  L  /  D
Ogre Kingdoms:        9  /  2  /  0
Yep go for the full 8 Leadblechers!

Agree with three characters; 1) Slaughtermaster or Tyrant 2) BSB  3) Butcher or Firebelly

So you have 21 models left.. depends on your goals and where you want to put your characters. And what unit sizes you are going for?

Your set up of 9x Bulls (full command included) and 12x Ironguts (full command included) would work fine.

If you want to try an Irongut Deathstar Build 15x Ironguts (Full command, and is joined by most of your characters) leaving you with 6x Bulls (Full Command) which would be a good sized support unit (maybe with Firebelly)

And Agree with SeBM collect and build all the Gnoblars from the 2 battalions, and build them. Now you have 3x10 Gnoblar Trapper Units, Awesome for screening your leadblechers and redirecting enemy units.

Cheers!
Thanks guys!
